[The hypotensive action of anaprilin in hypertension]
Insights
Anaprilin effectively lowers blood pressure in hypertension by adjusting cardiac output and peripheral vascular resistance. The drug
Area of Science:
- Cardiology
- Pharmacology
Background:
- Hypertension presents with diverse clinico-pathogenetic variants and circulatory types.
- Understanding the hemodynamic basis of antihypertensive drug effects is crucial for personalized treatment.
Purpose of the Study:
- To investigate the central hemodynamic changes induced by anaprilin in hypertensive patients.
- To elucidate the specific hemodynamic mechanisms underlying anaprilin's hypotensive effect across different patient types.
Main Methods:
- A study involving 137 hypertensive patients with varying clinico-pathogenetic profiles.
- Central hemodynamics were assessed during treatment with anaprilin.
Main Results:
- Anaprilin demonstrated a hypotensive effect in 82.5% of patients.
- In hyperdynamic patients, anaprilin reduced cardiac output and normalized general peripheral vascular resistance (GPVR).
- In hypodynamic patients, anaprilin decreased GPVR and increased cardiac output.
Conclusions:
- Anaprilin's hypotensive mechanism varies based on the patient's hemodynamic profile (hyperdynamic vs. hypodynamic).
- Targeted hemodynamic adjustments by anaprilin contribute to its efficacy in managing hypertension.
Abstract:
A study of the central hemodynamics in the course of treatment with anaprilin of 137 hypertensive patients with different clinico-pathogenetic variants and types of blood circulation indicates that the hemodynamic basis of hypotensive effect of the drug in patients with the hyperdynamic type is a reduction of the cardiac output and normalization of the changed general peripheral vascular resistance (GPVR) while patients with the hypodynamic type showed a distinct GPVR reduction and an increase of the cardiac output values. A hypotensive effect of anaprilin was noted in 82.5%.
