[THE COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHIC PATTERNOF EARLY MANIFESTATIONS OF PULMONARY ASPERGILELSIS IN IMMUNOCOMPROMISED PATIENTS]
Abstract:
Twelve (20%) of 61 patients were found to have centrolobularly located Y-shaped structures or tree-in-bud or toy man patterns in a few lung lobes. In their orthogonal sections, they were presented as centrolobularly located nodular shadows, which is a direct X-ray sign of bronchiolitis. Our studies allow us to consider circumscribed bronchiolitis to be a valid sign of the early manifestations of pulmonary aspergillosis in hematological cancer patients in the presence of recurrent deep myelotoxic agranulocytoses.

Several diagnostic approaches are used to detect TB. The conventional method is the Tuberculin Skin Test (TST), also known as the Mantoux test. However, this method has...
Pulmonary Tuberculosis I
Causative Organism
The primary infectious agent causing tuberculosis is Mycobacterium tuberculosis, a slow-growing, acid-fast, aerobic rod that exhibits sensitivity to heat and ultraviolet light. Instances of Mycobacterium bovis and Mycobacterium avium contributing to the development of TB infection are rare.

Pulmonary Tuberculosis II
Here is a detailed explanation of its pathophysiology:
Transmission: The process begins when a person inhales droplet nuclei containing M. tuberculosis. These are typically released into the air when an individual with pulmonary or...

Radiological Investigation III: Pulmonary Angiogram and PET Scan
Pulmonary Angiogram
A Pulmonary Angiogram is an invasive procedure involving injecting a contrast medium through a catheter threaded into the pulmonary artery or the right side of the heart to visualize the pulmonary vasculature. Computed Tomography (CT) scans have mainly replaced this...
Pulmonary Tuberculosis V
Latent tuberculosis infection occurs when TB bacteria are present in a person's body, but are not causing illness or symptoms. It is not contagious, and preventive treatment is crucial to avoid the...
