Summary

Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALf) analysis reveals M1 macrophages are more prevalent in sarcoidosis (SA) than other interstitial lung diseases (ILDs). This study highlights CD40+ cells in SA and CD163+ cells in fibrotic ILDs.
