  • Identifying patient-specific risk factors is crucial for predicting and mitigating dislocation risk.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To identify patient-specific risk factors, including body mass index (BMI), age, and gender, associated with primary and secondary hip arthroplasty dislocation.
  • To evaluate the influence of high BMI, advanced age, and female gender on the occurrence of secondary dislocation.

Main Methods:

  • Retrospective analysis of hip arthroplasty cases treated between 2007 and 2011.
  • Inclusion of 106 patients managed conservatively without surgical revision indication.
  • Analysis of patient cohorts divided into groups based on dislocation recurrence, examining BMI, age, and gender.

  • A significantly higher BMI was observed in patients with re-dislocation (27.11 kg/m²) compared to those without (24.49 kg/m²; p=0.02).
