Perceived Behavioral Changes in Multihandicapped Individuals Using Adapted Equipment

The present study expands upon previous case study reports in the literature concerning benefits associated with adaptive equipment. A survey was constructed to assess perceived benefits affecting a number of life activities with use of adaptive equipment. Results are analyzed and presented based on responses provided by 92 guardians or contact persons of clients provided adaptive equipment by the Montana Adaptive Equipment Project. Significant improvements were noted in social interaction and motor coordination areas.
