Summary

An asymptomatic patient had a mobile right atrial mass discovered. Histology confirmed it was an atrial myxoma, a common benign heart tumor.

Background:

Routine echocardiography is crucial for detecting cardiac abnormalities.
Clozapine initiation requires pre-treatment cardiac evaluation.
Right atrial masses can be incidental findings.

Observation:

A mobile, echogenic structure was identified in the right atrium via echocardiography.
Cardiovascular MRI revealed a 2.1x2.2 cm avascular mass near the eustachian valve.
Late gadolinium enhancement showed heterogeneity, and T1-imaging indicated mild hyperintensity.

Findings:

The resected mass was histologically confirmed as an atrial myxoma.
Atrial myxomas are the most common primary cardiac tumors.
The patient was asymptomatic with no hemodynamic compromise.
