Influenza SIRS with Minimal Pneumonitis

Systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) can occur with influenza, even without significant lung damage. This case shows influenza viruses may trigger SIRS through vascular dysregulation, impacting organs beyond the lungs.
