Metabolic myopathies, including muscle glycogenoses (GSD) and fatty acid oxidation disorders (FAOD), cause exercise intolerance due to energy deficiency. Moderate aerobic exercise and specific fuel strategies can improve performance and are recommended adjunct therapies.
