Transient Hyperphosphatasaemia of Infancy: An Often Unrecognised and Thus Over-Investigated Condition

Transient hyperphosphatasaemia of infancy (THI) is a common, benign condition causing temporary high alkaline phosphatase (ALP) levels. Recognizing THI avoids unnecessary tests and referrals for infants with elevated ALP.
