SFRP2 Is Associated with Increased Adiposity and VEGF Expression.

Secreted frizzled-related protein 2 (sFRP2) is expressed and secreted by adipose tissue, particularly omental fat. Circulating sFRP2 correlates with body mass and may promote adipose tissue angiogenesis via vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression.
