Abstract:
General studies have suggested that clinical gingivitis might be associated with radiographically detectalble deficiencies around the margins of stainless steel crowns, or with cement remaining in the gingival sulcus, or with a combination of these. The case of a nine-year-old girl reported here is an example of the high toleration potential of young periodontal tissues--even when a significant amount of zinc phosphate cement had been pushed into the lingual sulcus during cementation.
