Initial clinical results with the ThermoCool® SmartTouch® Surround Flow catheter

The new SmartTouch Surround Flow (STSF) catheter offers improved safety and efficacy for cardiac ablation compared to the older SF catheter. This advanced catheter technology resulted in fewer complications and a better overall outcome for patients undergoing arrhythmia treatment.

Background:
- The Biosense Webster ThermoCool® SmartTouch® Surround Flow (STSF) catheter, introduced in May 2015, replaced the ThermoCool® SF catheter.

- The STSF catheter demonstrates a trend towards an improved safety-efficacy profile compared to the SF catheter.
