Abstract:
Over the last 25 years it has frequently been said or written that nursing must be a research-based profession and there is now considerable pressure on staff in the NHS to achieve research-based practice. It is possible that even those who do read nursing journals may not read research articles, judging by the journals cited by respondents in the study and their negative comments about reading research.
