Pregnancy may influence melanoma development and growth, though it remains controversial. Early detection of suspicious moles during pregnancy is crucial, especially for women with numerous moles, to prevent advanced disease.

- Suspicious lesions require excision or careful monitoring, such as with sequential digital dermoscopy.
- Increased vigilance for melanoma in pregnant women with multiple nevi is recommended.
