Have you heard the joke that organised people are just too lazy to hunt for things? It is told by the same individuals who frequently think, 'I know I have the information somewhere, but where?' If this sounds like you, you are not alone. In one survey, 70 per cent indicated feeling overwhelmed by the volume of their paperwork ( Olian 2002 ). And 95 per cent of those surveyed desire to manage their paperwork more efficiently ( Hemphill 1998 ).
