Background:

Hemangiosarcoma is an aggressive vascular tumor common in dogs.
Primary tumors in the pelvic cavity are less common than those in the spleen or heart.

Observation:

A 12-year-old spayed female Schnauzer exhibited constipation due to an intrapelvic mass.
Initial examination did not reveal signs of metastasis.

Findings:

Surgical resection via celiotomy and pubic osteotomy was performed.
Histopathological diagnosis confirmed hemangiosarcoma.
The patient developed widespread metastasis and died 10 weeks post-surgery.

Implications:

This case highlights the rarity and aggressive nature of primary intrapelvic hemangiosarcoma in dogs.
Early detection and aggressive surgical management may not prevent rapid systemic metastasis.
Further research into the unique behavior and treatment of pelvic hemangiosarcomas is warranted.
