    Summary

    A patient education program improved knowledge and slightly lowered phosphorus levels in continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis patients. However, the program did not significantly improve phosphorus control in center hemodialysis patients, indicating complex management challenges.

    • To compare the effectiveness of the program in continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) versus center hemodialysis (CHD) patients.

    • A pretest-posttest design was used to measure knowledge before and after the education program.
