Intercostal hemangioma presenting with multiple metastasized lung nodules caused by pneumonia

Abstract:
Multiple lung nodules caused by pneumonia are a rare presentation in intercostal hemangioma. We experienced a case with intercostal hemangioma that presented with multiple metastasized lung nodules caused by pneumonia, which had previously been misdiagnosed as sarcoma six months earlier. The patient was treated for pneumonia for 6 weeks, and the lung nodules disappeared. The tumor was completely resected and was histologically diagnosed as intercostal hemangioma.
