Background:

Home enteral nutrition (NED) administration in Murcia, Spain, was regulated by specific physician competencies until 2010.

To examine essential aspects of home enteral nutrition (NED) in Murcia between 2007 and 2010.
To analyze patient demographics, administration routes, and nutritional types.
To evaluate the evolution of costs and future perspectives for NED services.
