Preemptive kidney transplantation: a propensity score matched cohort study.

Preemptive kidney transplantation (PKT) did not improve post-transplant renal function or reduce complications compared to non-PKT. This study found no significant benefits of preemptive living kidney transplants in patients with end-stage renal disease.
