Hypoderma actaeon: an emerging myiasis in roe deer (Capreolus capreolus)

Summary

Hypoderma actaeon (Diptera: Oestridae) larvae were found in roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) in central Spain. This study confirms the presence of this parasite in a new host species, highlighting potential subcutaneous myiasis.
