Peyton's four-step approach significantly improves complex psychomotor skills in medical students compared to conventional teaching. However, skills retention declined over six months for both methods.

  • Intervention group received Peyton's approach; control group received conventional teaching.
  • Assessed theoretical knowledge (MC exam) and practical skills (OSPE) at baseline and 6 months.
