The effect of endotoxin on nociception in mice

Abstract:
The possible antinociceptive activity of endotoxin was studied in mice. The antinociceptive properties of endotoxin (0.0003, 0.003, 0.03, 0.3 and 3 mg/kg, i.p.) were evaluated using the phenylbenzoquinone-induced writhing test. The antinociceptive activity of endotoxin was more potent than that of aminopyrine and morphine.
