YKL-40 Level and Hypertension Incidence: A Population-Based Nested Case-Control Study in China

Human cartilage glycoprotein-39 (YKL-40) is linked to hypertension risk, particularly in men. This study found higher YKL-40 levels increased hypertension incidence in males, but not in females, suggesting a sex-specific association.
