Galanin, a neuropeptide, enhances natural killer (NK) cell responses to certain cytokines, modulating interferon gamma (IFN-γ) production. While not affecting NK cell cytotoxicity, galanin acts as an immunomodulatory peptide by sensitizing these immune cells.
