Quantitative MRI and ultrasound elastography assessed delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS). Fractional anisotropy (FA) inversely correlated with pain, suggesting its utility in DOMS assessment.

  • US measured shear-wave velocity (SWV); pain and tightness were self-reported.
