Summary

Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) can assess osteosarcoma treatment response by measuring apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values. DWI effectively differentiates viable tumor from necrosis in osteoblastic and fibroblastic subtypes, but struggles with chondroblastic tumors.
