Low-level alcohol consumption during adolescence and its impact on cognitive control development

Low-level alcohol use in adolescence did not impair cognitive control development. While cognitive abilities improved, higher alcohol consumption was linked to enhanced performance and altered neural activation during inhibitory tasks.
