p53R2 regulates thioredoxin reductase activity through interaction with TrxR2

The small subunit p53R2 protein regulates mitochondrial thioredoxin reductase 2 (TrxR2) activity. p53R2 enhances TrxR2 function in DNA replication, repair, and response to DNA damage.
