Autoantibodies against CD80 in patients with COPD

Autoantibodies to CD80, a costimulatory factor, are elevated in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients. Higher levels correlate with increased IL-6 and IL-8, suggesting a role in COPD pathogenesis.

- Elevated anti-CD80 autoantibodies are associated with increased inflammation (IL-6, IL-8) in COPD.
- These findings suggest a potential pathogenic role for CD80 costimulatory factors in COPD development and progression.
