Summary

[123I]iodoamphetamine (IMP) or [99mTc] hexamethyl propylene amine oxyme (HM-PAO) brain SPECT offers clinical value in neonates, particularly for detecting cerebral palsy-related lesions missed by ultrasound. Long-term follow-up is essential to link SPECT findings to neurological deficits.
