Abstract:
Chicken B lymphoblastoid cell mutants lacking thymidine kinase (TK) were selected from the parental cell line treated with ethyl methanesulfonate. To obtain chicken hybridomas secreting immunoglobulin against the defined antigen, a TK- mutant was fused with inactivated Newcastle disease virus (NDV)-immunized chicken spleen cells using polyethyleneglycol. Finally, one hybridoma secreting IgM specific for NDV was established.
