Abstract:
A method is described to calibrate the eye position signals measured by means of Robinson's electromagnetic scleral search-coil technique in animals which can barely fixate for calibration, e.g. squirrel monkeys, or not at all, e.g. rabbits. Electrical or magnetic interferences superimposed on the search-coil signal can be determined by this method. Consequently, the quality of offset compensation can be tested.
