Comparative Lateralizing Ability of Multimodality MRI in Temporal Lobe Epilepsy.

Quantitative MRI (qMRI) modalities like volumetry, MR spectroscopy (MRS), and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) can help lateralize epilepsy. Combining volumetry and DTI offers the highest accuracy for identifying the seizure focus in temporal lobe epilepsy.

- The combination of volumetry and DTI demonstrates high diagnostic accuracy for lateralizing the epileptogenic focus.
- Volumetry-DTI is a promising approach for preoperative assessment in TLE.
