Abstract:
The author presents a review of biological and pharmacological principles of regional application of cytostatics. He defines the prerequisites for achieving the selective advantage of intracavital and intraarterial chemotherapy. The main indications for both modes of regional chemotherapy are reviewed together with enumeration of the most advantageous cytostatics applicable for this purpose.
