Self-administered medications in the postpartum wards: A study on satisfaction and perceptions

The postpartum self-administered medication (SAM) program demonstrated high patient satisfaction (97%) and significant pain relief for mothers. While generally well-tolerated with no adverse events in breastfed infants, some preferred traditional nurse-administered dispensing.
