    Background:

    • Ectopic ureterocele is a congenital anomaly where the ureterocele is located outside the bladder.
    • This condition often leads to ureteral obstruction and potential kidney damage.

    Observation:

    • Analysis of 43 clinical cases identified three distinct variants of ectopic ureterocele.
    • These variants include ectopic ureterocele of the accessory ureter and ectopic ureterocele of the doubled ureter.

    Findings:

    • Ectopic ureterocele consistently results in ureteral obstruction.
    • Surgical approaches for ectopic ureterocele of the accessory ureter involve anastomosis with the main ureter and ureterocele dissection.
    • Heminephrureterectomy or ureterocele dissection with ureteral resection are also employed.

    • Understanding the variants of ectopic ureterocele aids in tailored surgical planning.
    • Effective surgical management can prevent long-term complications associated with ureteral obstruction.
    • Antireflux ureterocystoanastomosis is a key component in surgical repair to prevent urinary tract infections.
