[Dwarfism in geriatrics]

Description of 4 dwarfs (3 women, 1 man) in a geriatric hospital with reference to problems of people with growth retardation when they become old. The medical history of the patients whose symptomology included rickets and tuberculosis is viewed in terms of the implications of these diseases in a large city at the turn of the century. In other cases the cause of growth retardation was hypothyreosis and chondrodystrophia. The importance of the patient's medical history in the research of life events is shown.
