Summary

Newly sequenced IncK plasmids, carriers of blaCTX-M-14 and blaCMY-2 genes, show high similarity to IncB/O plasmids. This study reveals IncK plasmids can be divided into two distinct, compatible lineages: IncK1 and IncK2.
