Idiopathic intestinal perforations in the newborn: an increasingly common entity

Seven neonates with idiopathic intestinal perforations showed good outcomes. Pathologic examination did not reveal the cause, suggesting possible ischemic necrosis as the etiology for these infant intestinal perforations.
