Summary

Intraoperative radiation therapy (IORT) improves local control and limb preservation in soft-tissue sarcoma (STS) by reducing toxicity. This technique, combined with external beam radiation therapy (EBRT), offers excellent outcomes for extremity and retroperitoneal STS.
