Investigating causality in associations between smoking initiation and schizophrenia using Mendelian randomization

This study investigated the causal link between smoking and schizophrenia. While initial analysis suggested smoking initiation might increase schizophrenia risk, further investigation found little evidence for a causal relationship in either direction.
