[Antrumectomy in the treatment of stomach ulcer]
Abstract:
Irrespective of the character of acid production, in 33 patients with true gastric ulcers, the functional-anatomical (12), or topographic (21) antrumectomy was performed. The immediate results of the operation were positive, only in 1 patient anastomositis occurred, which was cupped off by conservative measures. After the operation, the long-term follow-up revealed no recurrences in 20 patients, dumping syndrome of mild degree developed in 1. The suggested technique is an adequate operative intervention, which permits to preserve of from 1/2 to 5/6 of an organ.
