Summary

This study introduces a novel allele-specific Insertion/Deletion (INDEL) genotyping method for detecting unbalanced DNA mixtures in forensic samples. The real-time PCR approach offers higher sensitivity than traditional methods, enabling detection of minor DNA contributors at ratios as low as 1:50.
