Observation:

  • A woman in her 60s presented with recurrent hypoglycemia and unconsciousness, linked to a pancreatic tail tumor.
  • Diagnostic tests confirmed an insulinoma, a type of NET G2, leading to surgical resection.
  • Post-surgery, the patient developed primary hyperparathyroidism and pituitary swelling, indicative of MEN1.

Findings:

  • Surgical removal of the insulinoma resolved hypoglycemia, normalizing blood glucose and insulin levels.
  • The patient was diagnosed with MEN1, confirmed by the presence of pancreatic NET, hyperparathyroidism, and pituitary abnormalities.
