    Summary

    Thevenard syndrome involves trophic toe ulcers and sensory loss. Spina bifida was present in four of the six cases, indicating a potential link.

    • Thevenard syndrome is a rare condition characterized by sensory neuropathy.
    • It primarily affects the lower extremities, leading to significant morbidity.

    Observation:

    • Six cases of Thevenard syndrome were analyzed.
    • All patients presented with trophic ulcers on the toes.
    • Shortening of the digits and loss of pain and temperature sensation were common features.

    Findings:

    • Four out of six patients (66.7%) had a diagnosis of spina bifida.
    • Two of these patients also exhibited a faun-tail appendage.
    • One patient presented with unilateral lower extremity hypertrophy.
