Experimental investigation of the impact of various types of fluoride prevention and stress induced in pregnancy on the offspring teeth caries resistance was performed in 60 pregnant rats and their offspring (298 neonatal rats). The adverse effect of stress induced in pregnancy was reflected in reduction of preventive efficiency of fluoride given antenatally and postnatally in tap water. The combination of these fluoride preventive techniques led to formation of enamel with increased caries-resistant properties.
