[Heterotopic autogenous transplantation of retained teeth. Results of a 25 years study]

From 1959-86 58 teeth were transplanted. Most of them were retained teeth of teenagers. As result of the control in 1986 the relation of maintenance to loss of these teeth was 3:2. The oldest transplant exists since over 25 years in full function. The vital transplantation of teeth became more sure with using the apicoectomy. Teeth, the pulp of them didn't reorganize or let recognize resorptive changes on the root, were handled endodontically. Thereby regeneration of resorptive bone could be stated.
