Summary

Systemic sclerosis (SSc) patients show impaired CD8+ regulatory T cell (Treg) maturation. In vitro generated CD8+ Tregs from SSc patients exhibit reduced CD39 and increased CD127 expression, indicating defective Treg function in this autoimmune disease.
