Gain-of-function STAT1 mutations are associated with intracranial aneurysms

Gain-of-function signal transducer and activator of transcription 1 (STAT1) mutations are linked to intracranial aneurysms. These STAT1 mutations may also increase susceptibility to mycobacterial infections.
